Jamie MacLaren is a five times Golden Boot winner in the Hyundai A-League netting 154 goals across three A-League clubs and is the all time A’League top goal scorer. He currently plays for Mohun Began in the Indian Super League. He previously captained Melbourne City, following a spell on loan to Hibernian FC from parent club SV Darmstadt 98.
Having scored 62 goals in 96 games (including two seasons back to back of 20 goals each) between 2013-2017, this made him arguably the most lethal striker (by goals to minutes ratio) in A-League history and is still only 27 years old.
Having started his career with Blackburn Rovers in England, Jamie then moved back to the A-League.
In 2017, Jamie’s fine form and goal statistics made him a much sought after player and he finally decided to sign for Torsten Frings's SV Darmstadt 98 in the German 2.Bundesliga. He then went on loan to Hibernians in the Scottish Premiership.
Jamie's goal scoring spree at the Scottish club, where he netted eight goals from just 13 starts, meant that, based on a goals to minutes ratio, he was 4th in all the UK leagues (season 2017/18), behind Mo Salah, Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero.
Jamie has played 32 times for Australia, scoring eleven goals, including a hatrick against Bangladesh in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Clubs: melbourne city fc, HIBERNIANS (LOAN), SV DARMSTADT, BRISBANE ROAR, PERTH GLORY, Blackburn Rovers.
International Caps - 32 games and eleven goals.
