Luke is a former distinguished Australian international player who is making his mark in the coaching arena - being that he is currently Assistant Coach for the Australian national team.

Luke is a former Middlesborough, Feyenoord and Dynamo Moscow player, who also had a successful stint at A-League side Sydney FC. 

Luke started his career in Australia with the Wollongong Wolves and the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport).

Luke then moved to the English Premier League outfit Middlesbrough in 2000.

Having spent six years in England, Luke then moved to Holland and Russia where he spent the next 10 years between the two countries.

Luke was a valued first team member of both Australian squads at the FIFA World Cups in 2006 and 2010.

During his 10 year international career Luke has amassed 80 caps and scored 8 goals for his country, which makes him the 8th most capped player ever for Australia.

Having returned to Australia to play in the Hyundai A-League with Sydney FC, Luke won the FFA Cup,  the A-League Premiers Plate and challenged for the A-League Championship.
